From a decolonial feminist perspective, I recognise that academic platforms are not neutral spaces. They often privilege certain voices, languages, and institutions. Remaining mindful of how access to knowledge is shaped by unequal global power structures, I choose to share my work on ResearchGate and/or to contribute to open-access journals and books. as one avenue for circulation. While this helps broaden accessibility, I remain attentive to the need for more inclusive, community-rooted, and non-extractive forms of knowledge sharing that move beyond dominant academic systems.
I also make a deliberate effort to cite graduate-level work (Master’s and PhD theses), working papers, and scholarship by early-career researchers, as well as those positioned at the margins by gender, sexuality, or location.
